Nazi slogans

SIX people aged 20 to 26 were yesterday convicted of chanting Nazi slogans and making Hitler salutes by an Austrian court.

The court in Leoben gave the two women and four men sentences ranging from six months probation to a year in jail.

The court found four guilty of shouting “Heil Hitler” and making Hitler salutes in central Leoben in June and determined three had shouted Nazi slogans in a bar in Liezen six months later. Austrian law bans the glorification of the Nazi era and attempts to diminish, deny or justify the Holocaust.
