Hostages freed

POLICE have subdued and taken into custody an armed employee of BMW France who allegedly took hostages at the firm’s offices in south-west Paris, police said.

An elite unit in Montigny-le-Bretonneux helped free three hostages at the German carmaker’s site, a police official said.

No one was injured.
