BRITISH AIRWAYS cabin crew began a five-day strike yesterday after talks broke down in a dispute over wages, jobs and working conditions.

The airline responded saying no further negotiations were imminent.

BA said it planned to operate more than 60% of long-haul flights and more than 50% of short-haul from London’s Heathrow Airport, allowing 70% of passengers to reach their destinations.
