College quads

A US college has received eight thumbs-up from a set of quad- ruplets who have all decided to study there.

Grace, Erin, Bobby and Danny Mele will attend Hartwick College in Oneonta, New York, from this autumn. Grace had been unsure about the move as she initially felt she did not want to spend her college years known as “one of the quadruplets”, but she has now changed her mind.

Their father Robert, from Setauket on Long Island, cried with happiness at Grace’s decision to keep the close-knit siblings together. Though he may be doing a lot more crying in future as the family now faces an annual college bill of about $74,000 (€55,000).
