Woman given community service by leaving bin open

Celia Edge, of Lyndhurst Gardens, Pinner, was punished for propping the lid of the bin open and letting rubbish blow into her neighbours’ garden.

She was under a five-year ASBO for throwing sanitary towels and food into a neighbours garden and flooding it.

Keeping her bin closed was a condition of the antisocial behaviour order, but at Harrow Crown Court, Edge admitted breaking the rule. She was given 40 hours’ community service and ordered to pay £200 (€220).
