Woods linked to three more women
As of last night six different women have now been linked to the golf superstar – and at least three others, including a British television presenter, are also rumoured to be considering going public.
Over the weekend restaurant manager Mindy Lawton, Las Vegas party promoter Jamie Jungers and Manhattan club-goer Cori Rist all entered the spotlight.
Ms Lawton claimed she had a number of liasons with Tiger Woods both in his mansion and in a church carpark while the golfer’s wife was pregnant with their first child.
The businessman partner of Ms Jungers claimed she was seduced by the golfer at the exclusive Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas.
It is alleged in the press in America that Woods met Rist at the Butter nightclub in Manhattan last year and met up with her on a number of occasions in the following months.
These three women join socialite Rachel Uchitel, nightclub hostess Kalika Moquin and cocktail waitress Jaimee Grubbs as those who have been outed by the media as having relationships with the golfing star.
Tiger Woods has been at the centre of controversy since he crashed his car outside his home more than a week ago. The accident came following a row with his wife Elin Nordegren, allegedly over his infidelity.
Since then he has issued a number of statements on his website. In one of those he said he had let his family down. “I regret those transgressions with all of my heart,” he said. “I have not been true to my values and the behaviour my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behaviour and personal failings behind closed doors with my family.”
The last statement made no mention of his transgressions.
In it he apologised on for being a no-show at his own golfing tournament, the Chevron World Challenge, but kept the focus on sport.
“I am so grateful to them for their efforts, and I am sincerely sorry I was unable to fulfil my duties as host and player in this important event,” he wrote.
“Lastly, I’d like to thank our fans for continuing to support us. Like them, I am extremely dedicated to this tournament, to my foundation and the millions of young lives we serve. Thank you all for your support.”
