Girl says ‘nosey’ mother saved her from sexual predator she met online

By Lesley RichardsonA TEENAGER saved from a sex attack by her “nosey” mother after she was groomed online warned others today about the dangers of the web.

Amy was just 12 when she attracted the attention of Oliver Randall. The 20-year-old Southampton University student first made contact through a social networking site.

Amy, whose name has been changed to protect her identity, said: “He did very nasty stuff to others. Obviously I am glad it didn’t happen to me, but I was lucky because my mum found out what was going on. My nosey mum literally saved me from getting hurt.”
