Missing girl in chatroom link

THE mother of a 15-year-old girl who is believed may have travelled to London after meeting a man on the internet said she had warned her daughter of the dangers of speaking to people online.

Kerrie White, from Kirkheaton, in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, was last seen at the town’s railway station on Wednesday.

West Yorkshire Police said it was thought the teenager had arranged to meet an unknown man in Leeds before travelling to London.

Kerrie’s mother, Madge Gill, yesterday said she and Kerrie’s father, Anthony White, had told their daughter about the dangers of meeting up with anyone she spoke to over the internet.

Her mother said Kerrie spent most nights talking to people on internet chatrooms and that men would telephone their home in the early hours of the morning.
