British baby dies in balcony fall

AN 18-MONTH-OLD British baby fell to his death from a hotel balcony in Sardinia, Italian media reported yesterday.

The accident happened on Saturday evening in the marine resort of Chia, according to the ANSA news agency and Sky TG24.

The baby, from Reading, was with his parents at the Chia Laguna Resort when he got past the railing of their hotel room balcony and fell to the floor below.
