Drug binge ‘nearly killed Winehouse’

TROUBLED singer Amy Winehouse nearly died in her ex-husband’s arms after a three-day heroin and crack binge, he said yesterday.

Blake Fielder-Civil, 27, told how the singer’s eyes went blank and she had a fit before she passed out and stopped breathing.

He told The Sun newspaper: “It was nearly midnight and I’d finally got her upstairs. We were sitting on the bed talking. Her eyes suddenly went blank... She started having a fit on the bed. She slid down on to the floor before I could stop her.
