Britons told not to panic over flu

BRITONS were urged yesterday not to panic as a teacher and a nine-year-old girl became the latest to die after contracting swine flu.

The victims from Dewsbury, West Yorkshire, – named as Abdullah Patel, in his 40s, and Asmaa Hussain – were said by officials to have “underlying health issues”.

No link has been established between the two victims, who bring the British total of swine flu patient deaths to seven.

Another nine-year-old girl, from south London, was on Monday confirmed to have died over the weekend after contracting the illness.

She also had a history of ill health.
