THE president of Chechnya justified the right of male relatives to carry out “honour killings” after seven young women were found shot dead.

Ramzan Kadyrov said the women, whose bodies were found dumped by the roadside, had “loose morals” and were rightfully shot.

“If a woman runs around and if a man runs around with her, both of them are killed,” Kadyrov said outside a mosque in Grozny where he had attended afternoon prayers.
