Duffy takes three Brits as Coldplay left empty-handed

COLDPLAY flopped at the Brits last night, walking away empty handed despite being nominated for four awards.

Singer-songwriter Duffy was the big winner on the night, taking three awards: best album, best British female solo artist and best breakthrough act.

The awards ceremony was opened by U2 with their new single Get on Your Boots.
