Gascoigne sectioned twice in five months

FORMER England footballer Paul Gascoigne was released from hospital yesterday after being sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

Gascoigne was sectioned on Sunday after approaching a member of the public in an agitated state in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire.

A Hertfordshire Police spokeswoman said: “The man is no longer sectioned. Police believe he is no longer in hospital care.”
