Daredevil priest’s balloons found by rescuers

RESCUERS have discovered a cluster of brightly coloured party balloons floating in the ocean off Brazil’s coastline, but did not find the Catholic priest who had been using them.

Father Adelir Antonio di Carli has been missing since Sunday, after he lifted off from the port city of Paranagua in a bid to break a record for the longest time in flight with party balloons.

Father di Carli was reported missing about eight hours after taking off when he lost contact with port authority officials.
