Giggs scores at the Palace

FOOTBALLER Ryan Giggs was given a few words of advice from his boss Alex Ferguson ahead of collecting an OBE yesterday.

The Manchester United player said Ferguson, who gave him the day off to pick up the award, had met the Queen a couple of times before and just told him to enjoy the occasion.

Giggs, 34, received the OBE for services to sport over a distinguished career.
