Building projects manager Danny Biddle, 27, also lost an eye and his spleen when suicide bomber Mohammed Sidique Khan detonated his explosives on a train at Edgware Road station.

He put on hold plans to marry Lisa Flint, also 27, while he recovered and learned to walk again using prosthetic limbs. The couple’s wedding will now take place next week, according to the Evening Standard.

Mr Biddle, of Upminster, Essex said: “If I can manage it, I’ll walk down the aisle.

“Our wedding has been made much more special because we were convinced it would not happen.”

Among the guests will be two men who carried Mr Biddle to safety: paramedic Graeme Baker and London Underground employee Lee Hunt. Two nurses from St Mary’s Hospital where Mr Biddle was treated, have also been invited.
