Double take as Spaniard, 67, is oldest mother

A SPANIARD has become the world’s oldest mother after giving birth to twin sons.

The 67-year-old woman, whose identity has not been revealed, gave birth on Friday by Caesarean section, according to an official at Sant Pau hospital in Barcelona who spoke on condition of anonymity because of hospital policy.

The mother and twins were doing well, although the newborns were in incubators, the official said.
