Celebrity Jan flying high after parachute challenge
The former newsreader went head-to-head with designer Scott Henshall in a parachuting challenge on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
Their task was to catch a series of streamers as they hurtled towards the ground.
A delighted Jan returned to camp victorious with six stars while Scott managed just four — meaning the boys went hungry while the girls tucked in to a well-earned dinner.
“I am punch drunk. Totally punch drunk. I felt so proud,” beamed Jan.
But while most of the girls in the camp celebrated their win, actress Phina Oruche is heading for meltdown as life in the jungle becomes too much.
“You have broken Phine Oruche down in 10 days,” she told the Bush Telegraph. “I would like to leave now.”
The former Footballers’ Wife star threatened to quit.
“I think I’m going to go,” she said.
“I’m feeling too weak and evil. In the grand scheme of things I have lost any idea of what the point of doing this to myself is. What’s the point of being this miserable? I feel dreadful. I would sell all your souls for food.”
Earlier Phina said she would happily “strip naked, put kerosene in my hair and run naked down the street” in return for a decent meal.
* The first celebrity will be evicted on Thursday night’s show.
* The leading camp will be immune from eviction while one member of the losing camp will face the public vote.
