INDIA’S financial capital Mumbai came to a virtual standstill yesterday as a second straight day of torrential rainfall flooded much of the city, killing seven people.

Two people died yesterday, while at least five deaths were caused on Monday, by electrocution, drowning and a house collapse, said an official at the city’s flood control room.
