Sumatra village bomb kills one

ONE person was killed and two injured when a bomb rocked a village in Indonesia’s North Sumatra province early yesterday.

A nurse at Medan’s Pirngadi general hospital said three blast victims were admitted. A man in his late 20s died and two others were still being treated.

A reporter from El Shinta radio said three men were spotted throwing a package into a hut in the middle of a fishpond in Sei Bingei village.

The three victims were asleep in the hut, guarding the fishpond.
