BUILDING cost inflation has slowed but is growing at a faster rate in Cork than other parts of the country, it emerged yesterday.

The Society of Chartered Surveyors annual rebuilding cost survey shows that while rebuilding costs in Dublin are the most expensive in the country, Cork is beginning to catch up with cost increases in Galway lagging the other main building areas.

The survey is aimed at house owners to enable them gauge the correct amounts they should insure their homes for, SCS president John Daly said:
