A CAR bomb killed seven Colombian policemen yesterday. Eight other policemen were injured, said officials.

Police were responding to reports of a guerrilla attack in the town of Andinapolis, 160 miles south-west of the capital Bogota, when the attack took place.

Members of Colombia’s largest rebel group, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, are the prime suspects, said police.
