Bomb ‘regret’ from Indonesian militant

AN Indonesian Muslim militant who allegedly helped mix chemicals used to bomb Jakarta’s Marriott hotel one year ago told his trial that he regrets his actions.

“I regret it and apologise to the government,” Ismail, aged 23, who has several aliases, told the South Jakarta district court. He said his regret stems from the fact that Indonesians were among the 12 victims of the August 5, 2003, attack on the JW Marriott hotel.
