Khodorkovsky verdict reading continues

THE reading of the verdict in the trial of oil tycoon Mikhail Khodorkovsky entered its 10th day yesterday, amid speculation that the laborious process was close to completion.

The final statement on guilt and possible sentencing is to come only at the end of the laborious oral reading, which lawyers have suggested is being artificially drawn out to dampen interest in the politically charged case.
