Greek show scam raided

POLICE raided a Greek TV station and arrested six people yesterday for allegedly extorting more than €8 million from viewers of a game show.

The station, based in Thessaloniki, broadcast a 24-hour live game called Fotofault in which viewers were urged to call and point out the difference between two similar photos.

Callers were typically kept on hold for 15 minutes without being put through to the show and charged about €200 per call.
