US say North Korea planning to test missiles

NORTH KOREA is likely improving its missile technology, and recent signs that it may be preparing to test a ballistic missile are troubling, a top US military official said yesterda.

US Pacific Air Forces Commander General Paul V Hester said North Korea has posed a serious regional threat since 1998, when it demonstrated that it had long-range missile capabilities by test firing a Taepodong missile over Japan into the Pacific Ocean.

Hester warned that improved technology will become a “greater concern”.
