Manhunt sells out

MANHUNT, the video game linked to the brutal murder of a British teenager, has sold out across Britain.

Many retailers withdrew the game last week after media coverage of the murder of 14-year-old Stefan Pakeerah by his friend, Warren Leblanc, 17, who was said to be obsessed with the game.

HMV, one of few retailers continuing to sell the game - legally only to those over 18 - said sales had “significantly increased”, and that stores in London and Aberdeen had to be restocked.

Giselle Pakeerah, mother of the murdered schoolboy, spoke of her sadness at the sales boom.

“It doesn’t really come as a surprise. But I must say I’m saddened and disappointed,” she said.
