The filing on behalf of Marshall Bruce Mathers III was confirmed by two employees of the Macomb County clerk’s office in Detroit, Michigan.

The Grammy and Oscar-winning rapper remarried Kim Mathers on January 14, a month after the couple announced they were getting back together.

Their first marriage ended after two-plus years in 2001 in an ugly legal fight that included a custody battle over their daughter, Hailie.

Eminem has used his tormented relationship with Kim as a source of his most popular and demented rhymes. He has killed her off in song and assailed her with his lyrics before they got back together.

In 1999 Eminem accused Kim of cheating on him and rapped about wanting to slit her throat. “You were supposed to love me. Now bleed!” spat the lyrics.

In 2001, Eminem was sentenced to two years’ probation for pistol-whipping a man he claimed to see kissing Kim outside a nightclub.

At one point, the rapper used to routinely degrade an inflatable effigy of Kim as part of his onstage act.

Eminem, 33, and Kim, 30, reconciled in late 2004, and he announced in December 2005 that they would get back together.

The couple married in a private ceremony at Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester, Michigan in early January.

News helicopters hovered overhead and paparazzi congregated outside as the award-winning rapper and his high school sweetheart arrived by limousine.
