BRITISH police have interviewed scientist Professor Stephen Hawking over allegations he was physically abused

The Cambridge University professor, 62, was spoken to yesterday at Papworth Hospital, Cambridge, where he was said to be recovering from pneumonia.

A Cambridgeshire Police spokesman said: “We have spoken to Professor Hawking and our investigations continue.”
