Kosovo deaths

TWO American police officers and a Jordanian were killed in a shootout in Kosovo, apparently during a row over Iraq, in what the UN yesterday called a reckless attack on its personnel in the Serbian province.

A Jordanian officer fired on a convoy of three vehicles with mostly US prison officers on their way out of a prison in northern Kosovo.

A further 10 Americans and an Austrian were injured in the violence in the Kosovo town of Kosovska Mitrovica.
