Death of Welsh skater

Skating champion Richard Taylor has died after hitting a lamp-post, it was confirmed yesterday.

Richard Taylor, 23, from Barry, South Wales, broke both his legs and fractured his skull when he ran into the concrete lamp stand last Tuesday.

He was taken to the intensive care Unit at the University of Wales Hospital, Cardiff, where he slipped into a coma.
