Attacks suspect deported

GERMANY has deported a Jordanian suspected of collecting money for a terrorist network founded by an Arab militant blamed for masterminding attacks in Iraq, authorities said.

The suspect, identified only as Osama A, was deported to Jordan, the Bavarian Interior Ministry said.

He had been in jail from April 2002 to January 2003 on suspicion of belonging to al-Tawhid, a radical Palestinian network believed to be led by Abu Musab al-Zarqawi the same man accused of planning many recent attacks and kidnappings in Iraq.
