ISRAELI Prime Minister Ariel Sharon is being investigated over an alleged €1 million bribe, it was reported yesterday.

The Haaretz newspaper, citing a document obtained from Israel’s Justice Ministry, said Mr Sharon and his son Omri are suspected of receiving bribes, committing breach of trust and fraud, and deceiving the police and Israel’s state comptroller.

The report came just three week’s before Israel’s general election.
