Relaxed pop princess proves she’s on the mend

THIS is pop princess Kylie Minogue beaming for the camera yesterday as she proves she’s well on the road to recovery from breast cancer.

The star is shown looking happy, healthy and with her hair having grown back only months after finishing chemotherapy treatment for breast cancer.

The pictures were taken by her boyfriend Olivier Martinez and appear on her website, www.kylie.com.

They were taken as the pair took a break together in Portofino on the fashionable Italian Riviera.

The singer was in Italy as a guest of fashion house Dolce and Gabbana.

A note on the website said Kylie was relaxed and happy and gave a short hello message to fans.

The singer finished her chemotherapy in December but is still believed to be undergoing radiotherapy.

The pictures show a marked improvement from earlier this year, when the singer was photographed in Paris with her face and head hidden under a hat and sunglasses. She lives in the city with actor Martinez.

The singer was forced to abandon her Showgirl world tour in May 2005 after her breast cancer diagnosis. She underwent a partial mastectomy that month when a lump was removed from her left breast and then began chemotherapy to stop the disease returning.

That treatment was completed in December but the star was still expected to need radiotherapy for a number of months.

Her publicist said in January she was keen to return to work after her treatment finished and hoped to finish her tour.
