Australian Foreign Minister to visit Korea

Australian Foreign Minister Alexander Downer will visit North Korea next week as an envoy of the United States and Asia and tell Pyongyang it must abandon its nuclear programme before it can receive any aid from the West.

“The strategy this time is to say to them, ‘Yes, you will get some aid, you will get some economic rewards, but first of all you must dismantle your nuclear programmes’,” Mr Downer said.
