Sperm mistake for Connecticut woman

AN American woman is suing her fertility specialist after learning she was inseminated by the sperm of the wrong man at a clinic in New Haven, Connecticut.

Laura Howard says she is haunted by fears that the baby she is now expecting may not be that of her fiancé.

Howard, a 40-year-old nurse, has sued her fertility specialist, Dr Anthony Santomauro. Lawyer Madonna Sacco, who represents Dr Santomauro, acknowledged an error was made and said the parties were trying to resolve the issues.
