BOI kick starts second phase of share buy-back

BANK of Ireland kick started the second phase of its share buy-back yesterday with the purchase of 1.35m shares at €11.50 each.

In the run up to the recent publication of its results, the bank was precluded from buying shares under stock exchange rules.

Previously the bank had used the window between mid-February and midMarch before the closed period to buy up 1.3% million of its own shares.
