Al-Qaida in Iran

IRAN says it has located and dismantled all branches of the al-Qaida network in the country.

However, no details of the operation were given, and it is not known how many people had been detained.

Iran previously denied allegations that it gave sanctuary to al-Qaida fugitives who escaped the US-led invasion of neighbouring Afghanistan.
