Doherty detained after drugs bust

POP star Pete Doherty was detained and held overnight after a police drugs bust, it was confirmed last night.

A spokesperson for the Babyshambles frontman said the star had been caught up in an anti-drugs operation launched after the band’s concert at Shrewsbury Music Hall on Saturday night.

Babyshambles’ gig in Norwich last night was cancelled due to the incident, the spokesperson added.
