THERE were no major injuries yesterday as thousands of daredevils sprinted with the bulls through Pamplona in the first run of the annual San Fermin festival.

No one was gored by the six fighting bulls, but some people were slightly hurt when they fell on the damp cobbled streets or were stepped on, often by other runners.

The 900-yard course through Pamplona’s old quarter to the bull ring took just over two and a half minutes, which is about average.
