Dairygold reports €27m losses

DAIRYGOLD Co-op suffered losses before tax of €27 million in 2004 (2003 €38m) after incurring exceptional charges of €42m for the year.

The exceptional costs were down on the figure of €47.5m for the previous year and relate to restructuring and redundancy charges.

At the operating level, Dairygold made profits of €16.6 million an increase of 35% before goodwill is deducted.
