Czech tourism hits new heights

A RECORD eight million tourists visited the Czech Republic last year, the highest number since authorities started tracking tourist numbers 13 years ago.

The increase, up 19% on the previous year, is in part thanks to the expansion of low-budget airlines in Europe, the agency said.
