Bosnian general accused of atrocities

A RETIRED Bosnian general, accused of atrocities against Serbs, flew to the Netherlands yesterday to surrender to the UN war crimes tribunal.

Rasim Delic, 56, who led the Muslim-dominated Bosnian Army during the 1992-’95 war, was notified about the indictment last week and decided to voluntarily surrender.

Before boarding the plane from Sarajevo, Mr Delic thanked a crowd of about 300 former Bosnian Army soldiers for coming to support him.
