A moderate earthquake shook central Turkey overnight, authorities said yesterday.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The quake, which had a preliminary magnitude of 4.3, struck the town of Sultandagi in Afyon province, the Istanbul-based Kandilli Observatory said. Afyon is about 160 miles southwest of the capital, Ankara.
