Fund for children established

A SPECIAL fund to help some of the tens of thousands of children affected by the earthquake and tsunami was established in the North yesterday by the Honorary Indian Consul to the province.

Lord Diljit Rana, a major hotelier and businessman, flies to India to see at first hand what can be done.

Mr Rana wants to establish a long term project - not necessarily in India - where children can be helped.
