SCIENTISTS have discovered a way to predict whether a chemotherapy drug will work for breast cancer patients, it emerged yesterday.

The pioneering study carried out at Aberdeen University has found that specific changes in a gene can make breast cancer cells resistant to docetaxel, one of the most effective chemotherapy drugs in the treatment of the disease.
