Donald Trump has extended his deadline for Iran to open the strait of Hormuz by 10 days to April 6 after saying talks are ā€œgoing very wellā€.

The president made the statement on Thursday in a social media post, saying: ā€œAs per Iranian Government request, please let this statement serve to represent that I am pausing the period of Energy Plant destruction by 10 Days to Monday, April 6, 2026, at 8pm, Eastern Time,ā€ Trump said on his Truth Social platform.
