The Assassin’s Creed series isn’t going anywhere, so its time to say hello to Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.

The latest game in the long running franchise brings players to London in the middle of the great upheaval of the Industrial Revolution.

You’ll get to run and jump amid the steam and scum and take the fight to the establishment as one of two characters for the first time - Jacob or Evie Frye.

They’re twins and this marks the first time you’ll get to play as a female character in the single-player of the game, though its still not entirely clear if you can play the whole campaign as her or whether you can move between the two.

Ubisoft has unveiled a new trailer during Gamescom which shows off more of the world and seems to feature entirely in game assets rather than the admittedly gorgeous CG the company usually employs for its earlier trailers. Check it out.

The world of London in the 1880’s looks impeccably detailed, if a lot grubbier than Paris as we saw in Assassin’s Creed Unity.

The addition of trains and carriages looks like its going to add some fun gameplay elements and you’ll be spending some time organsing the gangs of the city to take on the government sorts - as always controlled by the power of the Templars.

As usual, it looks great and we can’t wait to get stuck into another deep and dark open world.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is set for release on consoles and PC from October 23, 2015.
