Alien Isolation mod removes Alien and makes it easy
Alien Isolation is a game of horror as you sneak around an all but abandoned space ship with a xenomorph lurking in the shadows, ready to strike at any time. It's a very effective recreation of the creepiest moments from the franchise, and also extremely scary for people who don't like first person shocks.
So someone has taken all of that scary stuff out.
A new mod for the PC Steam version of Alien Isolation does something pretty genius - it takes out the Alien. More specifically the mod by user [Lebowski]-=ThArK=- changes the behaviour of the Alien character so that it has no defined pattern for what it's supposed to do. Without any instructions, it just stays put, sitting around somewhere waiting to remember its purpose in life.
That means you can wander around and enjoy the environments with less worries, though take note the android enemies are still around and still very deadly. This way you can see how developers The Creative Assembly managed to put together a version of the world first created by Ridley Scott in 1979s Alien, set in the future but with old CRT screens and a fantastically 70s-style aesthetic.
Of course you're entirely defeating the purpose of the game but it might work well for a replay or those who are too afeared for the regular version!
